Day 7: Your Favorite Friendship.
Uriah and Tris. I have never thought of them romantically, but I just like that Uriah was there to make Tris laugh and cheer her up when she was having issues with her other friends. Also, he just accepted Tris for who she was.
Once again, it didn’t surprise Tobias that Tris was nowhere to be seen. He felt that he had checked twice in all of the places that he thought she would be. His legs were aching from walking so much. But from the last incident that Tris had, from her going off Erudite, Tobias wanted to know where…
Sitting in the dark corridor, Tris’ mind was buzzing from all that had happened at Erudite. They had been secluded, secluded from the rest, the rest of what? All Tris had ever known had been inside this silly fence. But there was more out there, more people, more places. She didn’t know how to react. She wondered what had happened to humanity, to have such war and violence, for there need to be a cure. And her mother and father had died, trying to get this information out to the rest of a society that Tris knew. It was not fair. Not fair that they died, that so many others died trying to get this information out, not fair that so many others died because they were being controlled by a manipulative women who wanted control. And the Divergent, why had they been killed for so long, if they are the ones who are the strongest cure?
Tris had been sitting in the corridor for hours and had finally gotten up and started to walk away, when she heard a familiar voice behind her, “Hiding from me?” She turned to see Tobias, blank faced and waiting. “Of course not,” she replied weakly, knowing that he wouldn’t believe her. Tris hadn’t been purposely hiding from him, more so the fact that she had been hiding from everyone. She needed her space to think through things. After coming home from Erudite, her mind had been scattered, she was lost, confused. Seeing Tobias made her feel safe, made her more sure that things would be alright, or that, at least for now, it would be ok. “Just, needed to uh, think.” She explained, “Tired?”
